This was an opportunity for us to work with this family upgrading their kitchen into their newly built rear extension.
The family wanted to try and bring the outside in by the introduction of Velux windows in the new roof and double glazed windows to the rear of the extension. They wanted to have a compact kitchen area which maximised their storage capacity. We achieved this in part with the addition of a pull-out store and a Space Tower unit. There were base units and large base pan drawers. There was also sufficient space for their wine tower.
A free standing fridge/freezer was installed to optimise the space available. With its polished steel exterior it integrated well with the fitted kitchen cabinets and other appliances.
The family opted for a Franke 1 and ½ bowl under mount sink in stainless steel and completed this with a Franke filter tap.
Black composite quartz worktops was used across the different kitchen preparation/cleaning areas. The sink area not only had a sink cut out but also drainer grooves making it easier to use and keep clean. The black worktops were complemented with Kitchen Aid red glass splash back panels that added a bit more glamour to the overall finished effect. These panels perfectly matched the various Kitchen Aid free standing appliances that sit on the worktops.
