A long standing customer for whom we had previously various kitchens and bathrooms for, moved to a rather tired looking 1980’s bungalow and wanted to create a large open cooking/dining space which followed through into a large living area.
We removed various internal walls to create a visually stunning open space ready to receive their dream kitchen.
From our customer’s initial ideas we worked with them to maximise the new kitchen, floor and wall spaces. They were specific in their ideas and wanted to achieve a light, airy, welcoming and inclusive space for use by family and friends alike.
To achieve the clean lines our customer wanted we used Furore White Super Gloss on the wall cupboards facing onto the garden and Zeluso Super Matt Coffee Light for the base and tall wall cupboards. Integrated appliances helped to keep with the crisp lines whilst a dramatic twist was added with the use of red coloured glass splash back panels.
We used composite quartz worktops and a stand-alone centre island which gave a large preparation area coupled with a seating area for bar stools with enough room for 2 comfortably. The front of the breakfast space housed large pan drawers thereby optimising storage and a radiator was cleverly concealed on the back panel of the centre island unit.
We installed a number of electrical power points throughout the kitchen and at different levels, again to allow for use of handheld kitchen appliances, phone charging etc. The addition of Sensio under cabinet pelmet lights added to the overall ambiance of the new kitchen as did the kick space heating which can be controlled for both summer and winter climates.
This finished modern day kitchen with its clean, crisp lines flows seamlessly with the dining room area both of which add to the overall appeal of this home.
