This is a stunning kitchen in Crown Imperial Midsomer Deep Blue traditional five-piece Oak Shaker units. Fabulously coupled with Samsung Radianz Lucern Lake composite quartz worktops & top of the range Fisher & Paykel appliances. This kitchen installation was initially finished by us earlier in the year when the property was extensively refurbished. This included a rear and side return extension together with the addition of Bi-Fold doors that was undertaken by a third party contractor.
The original floor was 25mm thick solid oak and was installed before the kitchen installation. However, unfortunately, later in the year due to a hefty sudden summer downpour, the kitchen was flooded due to blocked drains. The kitchen flood was caused by a faulty gasket on the bottom of the Bi-Fold doors. As a result of this, the original oak floor was damaged beyond repair and had to be replaced.
Our client contacted us to see if we could help with the necessary remedial works. As part of these works, we arranged for the entire centre island run of units to be temporarily removed from site alongside the large and heavy worktop. The worktop was then put in secure storage.
This was particularly tricky as it included the removal of the bespoke box section that had been fabricated to support the seating area, not a job for the faint-hearted. A new raw oak plank effect porcelain floor tile was laid, which would be more able to deal with any further water ingress. Once the centre island units were re-fitted, our team returned to the site to re-install the worktop and bespoke supporting box section.
This shows the lengths to which our company will go to in order to ensure that when things go astray even when not of our own making, we will always go the extra mile to provide complete customer satisfaction.
As you can see from the photos, the end looks achieved at this job is simply stunning, providing all the space needed for amateur cooks and entertainers.
